Police Seize $70,000 Worth of Heroin

A 36-year-old is being held without bail in the Rockland County Correctional Facility after a traffic stop.
A police dog was sniffing around a shopping bag inside the taxi cab he was riding in. The accused was acting unusually nervous, anxious and uncooperative with police, authorities said. When police searched that bag, they found over a kilo of heroin inside, police said. The passenger was then
arrested.
He is charged withfirst-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
