Man Charged with Illegal Sale of Pain Medication

A town man is facing several felony charges in connection with the illegal sale of prescription pain medicine, police said.
A 28-year-old from Putnam Valley was arrested Thursday after a two-month long investigation by the Sheriff's Office narcotics enforcement bureau. Police said that investigators learned that the accused was selling the prescription narcotics and an undercover investigator purchased the drugs from him twice in November and December.
Police charged him with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and
third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was released from the Putnam County jail.
