Duo Charged with Stealing Checks from Chiropractor

A 34-year-old woman has been charged with conspiring with her father to steal $1,750 from her estranged husband's chiropractic center in Spring Valley. The woman is
accused of two stealing checks in and then forging her estranged husband's name to the checks. Her 60-year-old father has been accused of endorsing those checks and then cashing them, the District Attorney said in a news release.
They were arrested following an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit whose one unit focuses on white collar crime.
They are charged with one felony count each of second-degree forgery andfourth-degree grand larceny. The charges carry a maximum punishment of seven years in prison.
