Drunk Driver Discovered with Guns Lands in Jail

A 49-year-old man was stopped by police after being seen speeding on Monday. Police say that he was pulled over at around 9:20 a.m. after he was clocked at 76 mph along the Palisades Parkway. Officers then found cocaine, marijuana, Ecstasy, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia, a representative said, after the driver consented to a search of his vehicle.
He was charged with drug and weapon possession, drunk driving, state parkway police in New Jersey said along with possession of narcotics in a vehicle and
seven other drug charges.
In addition, they found an illegal knife, a loaded BB-rifle, a .22-caliber rifle with scope, an AR-15 assault rifle and the armor-piercing rounds. He was also charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and one count each of illegal transportation of weapons, possession of armor-penetrating bullets and unlawful possession of a knife.
The suspect was being held in the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack with bail set at $187,500.
