19-year-old Accused of Stealing Cleats

A former local track star was accused of stealing a pair of cleats from the Sports Authority store in White Plains.
The 19-year-old was arrested Thursday after store employees said to police that he stole one pair of cleats worth about $125. He was allegedly seen putting the shoes inside his backpack and left without paying for them. He was stopped by security. Police said a small amount of marijuana was also found inside the backpack, along with a wallet that belonged to someone else
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, a misdemeanor count of fifth-degree possession of stolen property and a
possession of marijuana violation.
