Man Charged with DWI had 2 Previous Convictions

Police charged a Putnam County man with felony DWI after a traffic stop on Route 202 over the weekend.
The 55-year-old was stopped by police for speeding early Saturday morning and was then determined to be intoxicated, police said.
He was taken into custody where police learned of the two previous convictions he had within the past 10-years for DWI. The prior convictions meant that his charge was elevated to a
felony DWI.
The accused was sent to the Westchester County jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in Town Court tonight.
