Man Arrested in Fatal Crash

Freeport man was charged with vehicular manslaughter Friday night after he was involved in a fatal car crash, killing a 24-year-old female, Nassau County police said.
The 44-year-old was involved in a crash near North Main St. and Woodside Ave., police said. The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Another passenger inside was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
He is being charged with first-degree vehicular manslaughter,
DWI,
aggravated unlicensed operation and
fourth-degree possession of stolen property, police said.
