A 52-year-old woman was charged with DWI after a two-car
accident on Wednesday. She was driving on Route 306 when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and hit a car driven by a 29-year-old of New City, Ramapo police said.
The driver was taken to a local hospital. At the time of the incident, her injuries were not deemed life-threatening, police said. But the police report stated she was unresponsive following the collision.
Police charged her with a misdemeanor count of DWI as well as driving left of pavement markings, failing to use the designated lane, no seat belt and an
open container.
