Party Bus Driver Drove Drunk

A 48-year-old man from Mount Sinai was arrested for DWI after he was caught driving a party bus while intoxicated, according to police.

The driver, who worked for Red Carpet Limousines, was driving passengers for a wine tour on Sound Avenue when someone at his company called to speak to him. The employee thought Dopkins sounded intoxicated and then called police.

Police also received a call from a witness who noticed that the bus driver drove over a traffic sign, police said. Police pulled the party bus over and administered a breathalyzer test.  The driver's BAC was .21, police said.

He was charged with aggravated DWI, a felony, and held for arraignment.
