Another motorist helped police find a suspected drunk driver who was driving with her son inside the vehicle, police said.
The motorist called police and then officers arrested the suspected 34-year-old woman when she pulled into a gas station at around 8:50 on Sunday, police said.
The driver had a 0.19 percent BAC, more than twice the legal limit to drive, Sleepy Hollow police Chief Gregory Camp said. The motorist who reportedly saw a woman driving erratically called county police, and village police spotted the described vehicle at the gas station. Her 6-year-old son was placed into the custody of his father.
She was charged with felony aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law and issued a summons for violating the child seat belt law, police said.
She was sent to jail without bail to the Westchester County jail in Valhalla, pending an appearance this afternoon in Village Court.
