A Dutchess County man was found to be DWI after being clocked driving at 100 mph on Interstate 684 south about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The trooper attempted to stop the 30-year-old but he did not pull his vehicle over. He stopped a short time later, police said.
He was determined to be intoxicated and was then arrested. Further investigation showed that the license plates were from another vehicle in the Carmel area, police said.
He was charged with DWI, third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, misdemeanors, plus 11 traffic violations, including speeding and being an unlicensed operator.
He was held for arraignment.
