One 41-year-old is accused of stealing $3,000 worth of merchandise and then fighting with a security guard, police said in a news release.
One man tried to flee after entering a vehicle idling in a fire zone but the police arrived after the Home Depot reported a shoplifter, Baumann said. Officers then arrested both the 41-year-old man and arrested the 38-year-old driver inside the idling vehicle.
An investigation revealed more merchandise already inside the car and those items were apparently stolen, police said.
