Man Charged with DWI

An alleged drunk driver has been arrested after police said that he hit a patrol car driven by an officer assigned to
DWI enforcement in Mount Sinai early Thursday morning.
The 22-year-old struck the patrol car while making a turn onto Route 25A at early Thursday morning, police said.
The officer was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. The driver was not injured.
At the time of the crash, he was wearing a shirt that read: "I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to meetings," according to the mugshot police released. He was charged with DWI in addition to several traffic violations.
