Two Drivers Drunk Inside Car

Two Ossining residents were accused of driving the same car while drunk.

A 21-year-old woman allegedly crashed a car into a pole outside her friend's home at around 8 a.m. on Sunday, police said.  A 21-year-old male then switched places with her and sat in the driver's seat.

Witnesses saw them switch places, police said. The male backed the car away from the pole and swerved as he drove the car away, village Detective said.

He was then pulled over by police and then arrested after he blew a 0.18 blood-alcohol level on a breath test, more than double the NYS legal limit to drive. The female allegedly blew a 0.16.

Both were charged with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated DWI and unlicensed operation, police said.
