A Selden woman was arrested for DWAI with her child inside the car,
Suffolk County police said. Police had been told by a 26-year-old woman, standing in front of a Walgreens, she was waiting for someone to sell her Suboxone. The Selden woman was arrested after she pulled up to the 26-year-old and it was determined that she was the seller of the
Suboxone and under the influence of drugs.
Because she had her 4-year-old son in the car, police said, she was charged with aggravated DWAI with a child, a felony under Leandra's Law and endangering the welfare of a child. She was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and
unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
