Man in Stolen Vehicle, DWI, Hits Telephone Pole

A Spring Valley man will face charges that he stole a vehicle, drove it while intoxicated and then caused an accident early Sunday morning.
Ramapo police investigated a one-car collision at around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. They then found a 24-year-old of Fairview Ave. nearby.
He allegedly said that he found an unlocked car with the keys still inside it on East Hickory Street. He is charged with taking the car and then driving it into a telephone pole. Police said he was drunk at the time of the accident.
He was arraigned in Ramapo Town Court on misdemeanor charges of DWI, driving with a
blood alcohol level over 0.18 percent,
third-degree grand larceny,
criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
