Driver Charged With DWI

A man was arrested after being stopped for driving the wrong way on the Southern State Parkway on Saturday morning, New York State police said.
The 58-year-old driver was traveling west in the eastbound lane when he was pulled over. Troopers said that he was under the influence of alcohol after he was found to have had a blood alcohol content of
.12 percent, police said.
He was then charged with DWI,
reckless endangerment and several traffic violations.
He will be arraigned in Central Islip.
