Police said that town officers charged a 50-year-old man from Kent with
felony DWI after a weekend traffic stop.
The driver was stopped Sunday on Horsepound Road for driving erratically. He was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was then charged with felony DWI because he had a previous DWI conviction within the past 10-years, police said.
Police said that he was also charged with drinking alcohol inside a motor vehicle, using an illegal turn signal, driving on the shoulder, infractions, and refusing to submit to a breath test, a violation.
He was arraigned before and released after posting $500 bail. He is due back in Town Court on Aug. 1.
