Man, Asleep at Wheel, Charged with DWI

A man was charged with DWI after a police officer found him asleep behind the wheel of his car while it was still running and stopped at a green light, police said today.
The 26-year-old was arrested Saturday after the officer responded to a report of a car stopped in the street with the driver apparently sleeping, police said.
It was then determined that he was drunk and he was then charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and disobeying a traffic-control device, an infraction, police said.
He was released without bail and is due in Town Court.
