Wrong-Way Driver Arraigned in Fatal Crash

A woman who killed a man after driving the wrong way on I-95 was arraigned today on a
felony manslaughter charge. She pleaded not guilty to second-degree manslaughter. The charge carries a punishment of up to 15-years in prison. The Westchester County Judge Hubert arraigned her bedside in a Bronx hospital where she is listed in fair condition.
Bail was set at $50,000.
She was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-95 when she crashed into another vehicle driven by a 29-year-old male from Elizabeth, NJ. The passenger, a 29-year-old from East Orange, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver is recovering at Jacobi Medical Center.
