Two Hurt in DWI Crash

A motorcyclist was found to be DWI when he crashed his motorcycle during a race with another in Riverside, landing in the hospital Thursday night, Southampton Town Police said. His female passenger, who was also thrown from the bike, was treated for non-life threatening injuries
The 48-year-old of Westhampton, was arrested after crashed on a grassy median near Flanders Road. He was found to have had serious injuries.
He was charged withfelony DWI, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, engaging in an unlawful speed contest and assault.
He will be arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date.
