Man Caught DWAI Twice in Four Days

A Commack man has been arrested, twice in four days, for driving while high on drugs on the Long Island Expressway. Suffolk County deputy sheriffs had charged a 33-year-old man on Saturday, and then again at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Vellucci had been released without bail and is due back in court Friday in his first case. He is slated to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip on the newest charges.
He was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by a combined influence of drugs and alcohol and other traffic violations.
