Driver Killed in Crash was DWI

A 51-year-old man was killed in a car accident on Monday while DWI in Plainview, Nassau County police said.
The Massapequa man was driving southbound in the right hand lane of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway when he hit another vehicle being driven by a 62-year-old woman driving in the center lane, police said.
The 51-year-old's vehicle ran off the roadway, continued onto an embankment, struck a tree then through a fence before he stopped West Lane Drive, police said.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he died Tuesday morning. After an investigation, detectives determined that the driver was DWI.
