Mastic Woman DWI in Hit-and-Run

Suffolk County police say that a Mastic woman was arrested after she struck a vehicle and then fled the scene in Bellport on Thursday.
Officers stopped Jacqueline Vaughan-Moscatiello shortly after she struck a Ford Explorer and fled the scene at 4:25 p.m., police said.
The driver of the Ford was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening head and neck injuries. Vaughan-Moscatiello was taken to the same hospital after she complained of chest pains.
She was then charged with DWI, unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of an accident. The Suzuki she was driving was seized under the Suffolk County Seizure Law.
Vaughan-Moscatiello will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in CentralIslip.
