A Garrison man got the maximum
prison sentence - 2 1/3 to 7 years - for causing a head-on collision in
Cortlandt that
killed a man from Peekskill and injured five passengers inside. The sentence was the most severe allowed by law for
vehicular manslaughter, the top count of which he was convicted in 2010.
A jury convicted him of the 12-count indictment which included criminally negligent homicide,
DWI, reckless driving and five misdemeanor counts of assault.
