Woman Presents Forged Prescription at Local Pharmacy

A woman was arrested Saturday after she was accused of forging prescriptions for a controlled substance at a local pharmacy.

Nassau County Police said that a 45-year-old from Hicksville presented a forged prescription for a controlled substance at a local CVS pharmacy. She is suspected of previously presenting forged prescriptions at the same pharmacy. After the pharmacist recognized her, he called police.

It was revealed that she previously worked at a medical office in Old Bethpage and is suspected that she took prescription pads from that office without authorization.

She is being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a forged instrument. She will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
