Mother DWI with Kids in Car

A woman was arrested for felony DWI because her two children were with her inside her when she crashed near her home on Tuesday morning, Suffolk County police said.
The 36-year-old was driving on South Bay Street when she made a left turn onto Shore Road, crossed over into traffic and struck pylons on that line, police said.
Her 5-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter were not hurt.
Officers found her, the children and her vehicle at nearby body shop where they determined that she was intoxicated. She was charged with felony DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and driving while ability impaired.
She will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
