A 26-year-old has pleaded guilty to selling cocaine in the parking lot of a Main Street ice cream parlor whose former owner has been charged with drug dealing. The business is under new ownership.
The accused is now living in Iowa. He admitted to selling cocaine in May 2009 outside Wally's Ice Cream Parlour. The plea was delayed due to a previous conviction. When he is sentenced in March, he is expected to receive 5-years probation, pay court fines and $100 restitution for pleading guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
The former owner is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to face charges that he sold cocaine. He was also charged with using drug paraphernalia, and possessing marijuana and oxycodone. He pleaded not guilty to
felony counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Other charges included misdemeanor counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
