Man Jailed for Selling Heroin, Cocaine

A Cortlandt man is being held at the Putnam County jail after being arrested on charges of selling cocaine and heroin in town, according to the Putnam County Sherriff's office.
One 24-year-old faces four counts each of third-degree criminal sale and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, police said.
Police said he was arriving to make a sale when investigators moved in. He ran into nearby woods but was caught. When he was arrested, police found 35 bags of heroin, 19 bags of cocaine and $1,125 in cash, police said.
He also has 23 previous arrests on his record, 17 of which were felonies. He has two prior felony convictions and, at the time of his arrest, had 13 pending charges in other jurisdictions throughout New York.
