Man Arrested in Federal Prescription Drug Bust

A Yorktown man is being accused of attempting to sell prescription drugs a suburban parking lot. One 27-year-old is being charged with prescription pill trafficking following a 2-month long investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
He was arrested Wednesday in an Amherst, N.Y., after agents found more than 350 oxycodone, hydrocodone and Xanax tablets on him.
Authorities said that this arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of prescription drugs from the metropolitan area to western New York state.
If convicted, he is facing up to 20-years in federal prison and a $1 million fine.
