Man Charged with DWI

A Mahopac man was DWI when his car nearly hit a police vehicle, police said.

The officer was stopped on Route 6 on Tuesday in the early morning when a passing car nearly hit his cruiser, police said.  The officer called ahead to a sergent who then pulled the driver over on Route 6 and determined that the driver, 23-year-old from Mahopac was intoxicated, police said.

Once at the station, his breath sample measured his BAC at more than 0.18 percent. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, misdemeanors, and passing over a double-yellow line, an infraction.
