Woman Drove Drunk with 3 Kids Inside Car

A 30-year-old Peekskill woman was arrested and charged under Leandra's Law after she was accused of
DWI with three children inside the car. Leandra's Law makes it a felony to drive drunk with passengers under the age of 15 inside the vehicle.
State police from Cortlandt said they found her under the influence of alcohol after she crashed her vehicle on the Bear Mountain State Parkway. She was then transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla to treat a head laceration.
All three children (two under the age of 15-years-old) had minor complaints of pain and were taken to the Hudson Valley Hospital for precautionary treatment, according to the police report.
