Police Charge Woman with DWI and Passenger with Obstruction

A Mahopac woman was stopped for speeding about 2:00 a.m. on Route 6. The officers suspected she was intoxicated and asked her to step out of the vehicle for a field-sobriety test. That's when the 24-year-old passenger, from Mount Vernon, began cursing at the officers and ignoring their instructions, police said.
The driver was charged with DWI, having a
blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 percent, misdemeanors, speeding and having an expired inspection, infractions. The passenger, was charged with
second-degree obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation, police said.
