Local Residents Charged with DWI

Troopers charged three motorists with DWI or DWAI during stops and investigations in
Westchester and Rockland counties, state police said today.
A 22-year-old man from Mahopac was charged with driving while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs, a felony, driving without headlights and refusing to submit to alcohol or drug screening, infractions, in Yorktown, police said. The felony was filed because he had been previously convicted for DWI, police said.
A 42-year-old man from Cortlandt was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while using a hand-held cell phone and for drinking alcohol while inside a motor vehicle, infractions, in Peekskill.
A 20-year-old of New City was charged with DWI by alcohol or drugs, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, misdemeanors, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, in Clarkstown.
