A 17-year-old White Plains boy was arrested Saturday night when he was charged with burglarizing a house only a few doors down from his own.
Myles Hamlin, allegedly entered a house at 11:45 p.m. then fled after he was confronted by the woman who lives there. She called police and followed Hamlin, who went inside his own house and then closed the door.
Police Sgt. Stephen Fottrell arrived later and convinced Hamlin to come out. He was then arrested after the 53-year-old neighbor identified him. Hamlin was questioned by Detectives Pete Martin and Dave Napolitani and admitted to burglarizing two other homes.
He was charged with three felony counts of second-degree burglary.
