A 31-year-old woman was driving southbound in a northbound lane of I-87 when she sideswiped an oncoming Dodge Caravan.
The minivan driver swerved to avoid the accident, the driver told police. No one was injured in the Thursday night accident near Exit 14B, Trooper James Foley said.
She told the arresting trooper that she was going the wrong way because she forgot her glasses and she had been drinking wine at a restaurant, according to the police report. Her blood-alcohol content was .21 percent - more than double the .08 limit, police said.
She was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and aggravated driving while intoxicated, both are misdemeanors.
She was released without bail and is due in Town Court on Tuesday.
