Three teens were arrested Tuesday after a homeowner reported to police that he saw them trying to break into his home. At the house, police determined that a window screen had been cut, but no one got inside.
Within minutes, Officer Michael Harnon saw the three boys, who fit the descriptions, not far from the house. The three were then identified by the homeowner and taken to Police Headquarters. During questioning by detectives, two of them admitted that they tried to burglarize the house, police said.
The three were charged with second-degree attempted burglary, a
felony, and fourth-degree
criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
