A man was arrested Thursday afternoon after police said he entered a Target to make two purchases: one just under $500 and another about $600 at the Palisades Mall but then used separate credit cards - neither of which was under his real name - to buy those items.
When Target staff noticed that he used two separate cards, they notified Clarkstown police. Police located the suspect in the parking lot, then searched him, and found 13 more debit and credit cards with different names.
He was charged with eight felony counts of second-degree forgery;
15 felony counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second-degree, and two misdemeanor counts of
fourth-degree grand larceny in the fourth-degree and criminal possession of stolen property.
