A 16-year-old who drove a stolen car head-on into an Irvington police cruiser driven by Luigi Osso, accepted a deal today that will send him to prison for seven years.
He faced a maximum sentence of 25-years if he went to trial and was convicted of first-degree assault, the most serious charge.
Instead, he pleaded guilty to an eight-count indictment. The indictment included two felony counts of first-degree assault - one for injuring officer Osso while committing a felony, and one count for showing depraved indifference to human life.
