Two Charged with Drunken Driving

Village police charged two Southeast men with DWI in separate weekend incidents.

On Friday Officer Wayne Peiffer stopped a 38-year-old for driving erratically and determined he was intoxicated, Officer John DelGardo said today.  The driver was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and issued five tickets.  He refused to take an alcohol screening test, police said.

Around 7 p.m. Saturday, Peiffer stopped a 34-year-old for running a stop sign, police said. The driver was determined to be under the influence and was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
