Mom was DWI on Sprain with Toddler, Police Say

A 32-year-old of Middletown is due in Town Court this morning to answer a charge that she drove drunk on the Sprain Brook Parkway with her 20-month-old son in the car, state police said today.
Troopers stopped her Saturday after receiving reports of an erratic driver southbound, police said. The trooper noticed that she had vomited on herself, police said. The trooper then noticed her 20-month-old son in a child-restraint seat in the back.
She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the car, a felony under Leandra's Law. She was arraigned Sunday at Mount Pleasant Town Court and sent to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
She is due in Greenburgh Town Court at 9:30 a.m. today.
