An officer charged a Brewster man with DWI after responding to a report of an erratic driver near Route 52, police said today.
Officer Mike Williams stopped the driver Friday after the 24-year-old Brewster man had struck the curb several times in the ShopRite Plaza on Route 52, police said.
Officer Williams later determined that he was driving with a suspended license, police said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, and being an unlicensed driver, a violation. He was initially sent to the county jail on $2,500 cash bail and is due back in Town Court on Dec. 6.
