Mahopac Men Face Drunken Driving Charges in Carmel

Town police charged two Mahopac men with DWI in separate investigations this weekend, Chief Michael Johnson said today.
A 43-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DWI around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday after Officer Stephen McCabe pulled him over. Additionally, the driver was cited for speeding, failure to keep right and crossing the double-yellow line, infractions, police said.
A 55-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DWI, speeding and crossing the double-yellow line around 2 a.m. on Route 6. Officer Stephen Kunze arrested him after following him on Route 6 and seeing his car cross the center line several times, police said.
