A Garrison man with a two previous convictions for drunken driving was among seven motorists caught driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs Wednesday night and early Thursday during roving DWI patrols throughout Westchester County, state police said today.
A 49-year-old was stopped in Cortlandt on Route 9 Wednesday and was found to be intoxicated, police said. He had previous DWI convictions and should have been driving his car with an interlock-ignition device, police said. He was charged with felony DWI, operating a vehicle without an interlock, a misdemeanor, and refusal to submit to an alcohol-screening test, a violation, police said. He was held for arraignment.
A 49-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DWI in Greenburgh, police said. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.15 percent, police said. She was ordered to appear in Town Court on Dec. 2.
A 45-year-old was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, in Greenburgh, police said. He was driving while high on marijuana, police said. He is due in Town Court on Dec. 7.
A 25-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DWI around 1:30 a.m. in Peekskill, police said. His blood-alcohol level was 0.11 percent and he was ordered to appear in City Court on Dec. 2, police said.
A 23-year-old was charged with DWI in Cortlandt after being stopped for speeding, an infraction, police said. Warren had a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 percent and was ordered to appear in Town Court on Dec. 6.
A 25-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DWI in Montrose, police said. She refused to submit to an alcohol-screening test, an infraction, police said.
A 27-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DWI after a trooper found his car stopped on the side of the Taconic State Parkway in New Castle. His blood-alcohol level was 0.10 percent and he was ordered to appear in Town Court on Dec. 9, police said.
