Cops: Drunk Driver Crashes into Ossining Home

Nine residents were displaced Sunday morning after a drunk and unlicensed truck driver crashed into their building, authorities said.

An Ossining man lost control of his truck around 8 a.m. when, police said, he hopped a curb, skidded across a grassy lawn crashed into an apartment house at 38 Hamilton Ave., police said.  The impact shattered the ground floor of the multifamily home but no one was reported injured.

The 44-year-old was charged with DWI and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He had a blood-alcohol content of 0.11 percent, police said.
