Motorist in Rye Caught with Nike Knockoffs

Rye - Police said a Massachusetts was caught speeding on Playland Parkway at I- 95 yesterday and was found with $14,000 worth of counterfeit Nike sneakers.
Barrington McDowell, 32, of Belcherton, was charged with second-degree trademark counterfeiting, a felony, and then given summonses for speeding, driving without a license and driving without insurance, and having improper plates, said Westchester County police spokesman Kieran O'Leary.
