Lawrence Taylor Indicted

New City - Retired football Lawrence Taylor was indicted today on charges that he paid $300 for sex at a hotel with a girl who turned out to be a 16-year-old runaway.

His lawyers have denied that Taylor had sex at the Holiday Inn in May, though they don't dispute the teenager showed up at his room.

The Rockland grand jury's six-count indictment charges the 51-year-old Taylor with one felony count each of third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act, and two misdemeanor counts of third-degree sexual abuse, one count each of endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree patronizing a prostitute.

He faces a maximum of four years in state prison if convicted.
