Father Faces 3rd DWI Charge

Cortlandt- Police said a man with two previous convictions for drunken driving has been charged with driving while intoxicated a third time. What makes the latest DWI arrest different from the others? This time he had a child in his car, police said.

The 37-year-old is being held today at the Westchester County jail in Valhalla on $15,000 bail. Police said he was driving on Route Tuesday when he made an unsafe turn and was pulled over. A trooper determined that the driver, who was with his 3-year-old daughter in the car, was intoxicated.

Later it was determined that he had two previous DWI convictions within the past 10-years. Police charged him with DWI and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the car under Leandra's Law, all felonies.
