Two Arrested for Looting

Congers - Police say a woman and a man were charged with ransacking the home of an acquaintance two days after he was killed in a motorcycle crash. Paula Izurieta, 29, of Yonkers remains in the Rockland County jail, where she has been held on $50,000 bail since her arrest Sunday night. Murat is also being held on $50,000 bail. Both are due in Clarkstown Justice Court.
She and Ivan Murat, 33, of Valley Cottage, were charged with numerous felonies, including two counts of second-degree burglary, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, one count of third-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
