Yorktown - Police say that a Peekskill teenager will answer charges that he tried to burglarize a Jefferson Valley residence last week while the homeowner was there.
Officers responded July 8 to the Hill Boulevard residence after a woman who lives there reported a man she didn't know had entered her home, then fled when she confronted him.
Officers flooded the area, broadcast a description of the suspect then arrested the Peekskill teen nearby on Hill Boulevard.
Julio Rivera, 19, of Peekskill, was charged with attempted second-degree burglary, a felony, and was initially held at the county jail on $2,500 cash bail.
